My Mom is in town! Yay! We took a little trip north to Vero Beach to see some family yesterday and had a great time. Bonus, my cousin Cathy took us over to see her condo on the beach that my Mom has raved to me about. Lesson: Always carry your camera, Lauren. Such adorable decor, it's unfortunate I only had my camera phone. These aren't great, but you get the cottagey beach feel of her home. Thank you Cathy for letting me share with everyone!
Her whole condo is very light and breezy in color, lots of white linen and pops of saturated pinks and purples. Love this fun little bar she has set up in her family room.
The mantle and built-ins in her family room. You may spot a 2 year old in a few of these.
Adore the ottoman with the fringe.
The view, that you cannot see in this picture because it's completely washed out, is amazing!!
The dining room, with the super awesome bamboo and glass table, is between the kitchen and family room.
Cathy apparently knew ikat way before it was cool (or before I knew it was cool at least!). She had this chair and these drapes made for her sitting room 10 years ago with this gorgeous purple and gray Osbourne & Little ikat fabric.
Of course she has my favorite chair in the entire world, the Oly Studio Hannah chair.
Her insanely huge, white kitchen with the cool stainless range hood and super thick marble countertops.
Desk/vanity in her master bedroom. She has some great wallpaper in her home.
Stripey sheers on the master windows let her enjoy this gorgeous view.
Romantic bed, hmmm?
Really like these wicker trunks she used as bedside tables.
HUUUGE patio overlooking the beach. With the outdoor kitchen I would throw some serious parties out here.
Who is jealous? I'm crossing my fingers that when Cathy gets the itch to redecorate she will use me as her own personal Goodwill.
The Peeps new thing is making everyone tell him stories. He will listen to anything you can come up with, but his favorite subject is his little friend from school, Jackson. It's sweet, but tiring creating endless stories about Baylor and Jackson and cars and swimming and...sigh. He hasn't seen Jackson in several weeks since school ended, but they were finally reunited this morning at camp! Did he run and hug his buddy? Did he jump up and down excitedly and tell Jackson all about what he's been doing in their time apart? No, he complete ignored him, looked up at me and said "Tell me a story about Jackson."

Ok, I'm ready to give everything up and move into that condo! Life seems so easy breezy there. How can you be stress at a place like that?
ReplyDeleteLove your Baylor story...not sure if it the story that makes me laugh or imagining you sitting next to me telling that story :). I love that I can hear you talking to me every time I read one of your post. AWESOME!
Love love love everything in this cottage - from the colors to patterns.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is beyond gorgeous. I would have to live there alone just to keep it clean. It looks too pure to have, say, a DOG living in it. Or three!! lol
ReplyDeleteLoved the Baylor quip, so sweet and funny.
Beautiful pics. I love the roping hanging from the ottoman and the beige band around the bottom of the slipcovers and the kitchen was just right! just right! How did she pick that wallpaper?? Where does one research wallpaper in today's marketplace sans a "designer"? Baylor Says - please help!
