CARS CARS CARS.....

He is such. a. boy. Cars! That is all he wants to play with morning, noon and night. The first word out of his mouth every morning (okay, after "monk" which is milk) is "Cars!". All day long it's "cars cars cars" which reminds me of Finding Nemo. Remember the gulls that say "mine mine mine mine" on repeat? With him, it's "cars". And I will admit that sometimes I have to fight the urge to get frustrated. I breathe, relax and remind myself that this will end and I will miss it so terribly.

It started with a few little animals on wheels, cars he saw on the street, a giant toddler car to scoot around outside with his feet. Now he's playing with 25 year old cars that his Dad had as a child, which is just adorable. He is in heaven when he's alone with his cars. I'm thinking about bagging up all of his baby toys because we're being overrun by the cars. And, let's face it, he cares about little else.

I just want to squeeze him so tight and tell him to STOP. Stop growing up. Stay right here in this silly, 17-month old body and never stop saying "cars". Because tomorrow he'll be driving them....and I just can't deal.
