Have You Ever....

Been scrolling through your favorite blogs and then felt like this?

I feel like this all. the. time.  Like it will cost me a bajillion dollars for my house to look like I ultimately dream it will.

Take heart, be patient....the right piece, the right deal, the right everything is right around the corner (says the girl with purple paint swatches on her bedroom wall a year and some months later).

I got some great advice a few years ago, when I vocalized the daunting task of decorating my first big girl house.  Many people have told me to tackle one room at a time, so you feel like you're making headway.  Super awesome advice if you have lots of dough and tend to catalog shop...not so easy for thrifters/antiquers like me.  You get what you get when you get it.

Anyway, that was random.  Here are a few tidbits of what's going on at my house.

I finally pulled the trigger on the Mantadia curtain from Anthro (but they've only sent me one of them so far...odd).  I've only been ogling them for the better part of a decade.

(Oh hey shoes that my husband pronounced trash and unwearable this morning.  Doesn't everyone keep those on the dining table?)

They're for the guest room.  Also for the guest room, one of these lovely samples which should be snugged up in my mailbox any day now.

YUM!!

My entryway is super sad right now.  It's pizzazz was stripped and moved to the dining room for the time being.

I might be considering starting from scratch there.

Pizzazz, relocated.  Remember when I made this?  I can't believe I still love it.

More pink being thrown in the mix.  I kinda can't stop myself.  This hot little number came from One King's Lane.

These two dolls are as old as the hills and I just pulled them out when I got my pink hankerin a few weeks ago.  Wasn't crazy about them in the giraffe chairs, but they're growing on me.  What do you think?

What have y'all been up to?

My Mom's coming in tonight and I'm SUPER PSYCHED.
