SO! In light of yesterday's post...

LET'S DO IT!
Yes, let's. As in, you and me.
Here's the room.
Oh why so sad, guestroom?
Yes, it was the nursery before the big boy room came to be....thus the baby blue stripes.
Here's the statement piece.
I've LOVED these Mantadia curtains from Anthropologie forever. When I was stumped for where to start in my guest room, I decided to pull the trigger. They are tea-stained with wool crewelwork birds and flowers...textural and vibrant with every fabulous color under the sun to pull from!
ARE YOU READY???!!
Here's a look around the room so you know what you're working with. Nothing but the bed has to stay...it was a wedding gift from my Mom (I was obsessed with Elaine's bed on Seinfeld and picked this lookalike) and will most likely be painted. Who knows? It's up to you!
It's a small room (10x12) and only has one sad little window, so keep that in mind.
I do love that faux bamboo wood shelf/chest/desk deal....
But it can always move somewhere else. Up to you lovely readers.
How sweet are these mattresses? Really don't need sheets with these bad boys.
Mirrored closet doors! Who doesn't love those?? I mean really. (O'verlays, anyone?)
Ceiling fans rule, am I right?
Love this rattan chair, will steal it for my master if y'all give it the ultimate boot.
Now I'm sure you're all DYING to know how we're going to play this little game.
You're going to vote! On every tiny little change and addition I make in this room. I'll offer two choices with an open option as a third. You'll vote on which move I should make. And if you think they're both stinkers, you'll make your voice known with a new 3rd choice!
Your fellow readers can chime in if they agree with your submission in the comments. Do you know how impressed I'll be if when I'm vetoed with a surprise element? Can't. wait.
You're going to decorate my guest room for me, suckers! I'll give you the options, but you'll do all the heavy lifting. Let's make some magic together.
Off we go with the first element, the curtain rod:
Place your vote at the bottom. Don't forget, if you vote 'other' you need to give me a third option in the comments.
And today we're pulling double duty: Leave me a comment with a clever name for the series! Please?
Woohoo! This is going to be so much fun...it's like a Choose Your Own Adventure for interior decorating. (Did I just name it?)
And can y'all believe I trust you this much? XOXO
