While we were in Mississippi last week, I took full advantage of the grandparents and made my escape to do some antiques hunting. My FAVORITE little gem (that has actually been there for 3 whole years...YaYa and Pops were holding out on me!) in their small town was Lucy's on Cruise. Such a darling place! I even dragged my husband back a second time since there is nothing he loves more than admiring and nodding along as I point out every tiny little thing I adore in an antique store. Can't have him feeling left out of the fun.
What caught my eye the quickest? This vintage Marimekko fabric stretched over a frame. I believe the sweet girl working there said they were made as headboards. Fabulous!

I couldn't get it out of my head...such a simple thing as "Coka Dots", as the Peeps calls them, but what a fun, bold look! So I made swift work of being a copy cat.
You know how I know I'm not an artist? I made that with an old painting from Salvation Army (that I painted over...you can still see the texture of the previous work) and leftover paint from my powder room and black doors. No, my Etsy shop won't be opening anytime soon. But fun!!
Aaaand, I just realized that I'm going to use that console table in my husband's office. Rats.
I'm alarmed. Baylor is constantly talking about somebody or something "taking him away". "That ghost is going to take me away!" Ghost?? "I hope that other Baylor doesn't take me away." Now that is just all around confusing. Where does he come up with this stuff?
