Happy Valentine's Day beautiful ones! Hope it's candy and love filled. XOXOXO
My sweet, stylish, talented and lovely bestie from college, Julie Dodson (who I talk about all the time but have yet to do a proper profile...soon) of Dodson and Daughter, just finished this amazing space that you must see immediately.
I know that you know (because you know me and love me so well) that this is so my style. This beautiful home is in Fulsher, an area outside of Houston. The client came to Julie through the Pink Ribbon House....she loved what she saw so much that she snapped up Julie's services immediately. Of course.
Julie says the client had a fantastic vision for what she loved and that she was able to conceptualize it for her immediately. Sounds like a dream client! Julie describes the space as classic and casual, but sophisticated. And, as always, with a dash of whimsy.
I can't decide what I love more....the pinks or the blues. I love that this gorgeous room reads neutral and elegant, yet there is lovely and soft color throughout. Look at the amazing pink and white corals on the coffee table. Julie scored those at an antique store.
The luscious silvery-blue drapes are actually a faux silk. Would you ever know that? And the six dining chairs are upholstered in a chocolately brown vinyl. She often uses vinyl for clients with families because of its durability and affordability. I love that...because you know Julie saves there so she can splurge somewhere else.
Like maybe on fabulous chandeliers? Probably.
Did you notice those incredibly cool slipcovers? They're from a lovely little place in Brenham, TX called Beadboard Upcountry. They are so pretty and unusual, I've never seen any like them. How fabulous is this living room? I'm usually such a dark wood kind of girl but I am love love LOVING the blonde. It lets everything else shine.
Oh but there's a little more to share, don't go away just yet.
Like this beautiful little entryway vignette...don't miss that fabulous tile. Julie says it was one of the first things she fell in love with when she met this house.
I could sleep here. Who am I kidding, I could live here. In that corner. I stared at this pic multiple times before I noticed the amazing fabic on those chairs. Julie creates stylish details in spades.
Darling guest bedroom...I love the dainty little table serving both beds, with the tall trumeau mirror.
Another place of splurge...these drapes in the piano room (library? I want a library ladder.) absolutely speak to me. I need to see these super close and for a long weekend.
And a house this amazing wouldn't be complete without a stunning white kitchen. Naturally! My word.
GORGEOUS, are you drooling yet? Make sure check out more of Julie's portfolio on her firm website: Dodson & Daughter.
Thanks for sharing Julie my love!

Talking on his old fake blackberry...
Me: "Hey Baylor..."
Him: "Don't talk to me while I'm on the phone."
