I quit on my husband's office many moons ago. Terrible, I know...he keeps asking me when I'm going to finish what I started. When I finish my own house! That would be in like forever from now, so it won't work for his timeframe.
We've decided to let go of a flatscreen that we have mounted in our "home office". Since that door is rarely darkened, it's unfair and makes no financial sense to hang on to such a superfluous thing. It will move to the conference room in the real office, so that has spurred me on to tackle finishing that space. Here's a refresher of what it looks like now.
When he moved in, you'll remember he had our old dining room chairs.
With his more professional chairs now...
It is a tight tight space, so there's not a lot of room for fluff.
I like the vibe (and size...but beggars can't be choosers) of these conference spaces.

While I would love a large, industrial sort of shelving unit, it just isn't feasible in this tiny room, so I'm thinking of wall mounted shelves like these. Just have to worry about bumping precious lawyer heads.
Really love this floor lamp I spotted at Decor Once More yesterday...
But since it very may well be the only other thing in the room besides table and chairs, I might need to go bigger and bolder?
I'm stuck on the idea of framing vintage blueprints and maps for wall art...I'm trying to find some antique maps of our city and courthouse. Something like these:
And a perhaps a bold geometric print on some window panels. We pay a hefty premium for the fabulous ocean view through those teensy tiny (off-center...grrrrr!) windows, so these will have to be very strategically placed.
What do you think? Any other ideas? Come on y'all, sharing is caring.

I left the room for a few minutes yesterday and came back to this announcement:
"A drool came out of my nose and landed on the floor..."
*stomps foot a few times*
"...but it's all gone now."
