Because who can wait until Friday when you find such awesome stuff on Saturday? Circa Who in West Palm Beach is like a thrifter's Saks Fifth Avenue. Now I love me some junk stores, consignment, auctions, etc. Circa Who is a bit more expensive than that, but everything in there is amazing as is -no painting or re-upholstering necessary. Seriously, there are some sweet gems to be found here. I'm so so sorry for all the camera phone pics. Still, just look.
I fell in love with this console table at first sight. It is a gorgeous gold with mirrored top.
Bright pink coral lamp....I'm loving this for our master bedroom.
It is a 'hotter' pink than it appears in these photos. LOVE.
These fretwork chairs were so great. The detail on the legs, and I love the geometric fabric.
This mirrored cabinet would ROCK in my family room.
Very cool bamboo white cane back chairs.
Pagoda mirrors are rare around here and it seemed like they had 20.
Super funky sweet lucite lamps.
Look at the green greek key detail on this lamp.
If we were barkeepers, I would have snapped up this gorgeous lucite bar cart immediately.
I really couldn't help but drool over these malachite chairs with pink leather cushions...not really my style but so gorgeous in the right house.
Beautiful trumeau mirror (I never know where a trumeau would look good even though I LOVE them...they scream 'fireplace' to me, and I don't have one).
Okay enough with the mindless gawking, it's time to get serious. This is serious, important business here. Just in case you missed my long-winded post about my intentions for a zinc top dining table, I'll bring you up to speed: I want one. I've always known that once I have the table of my dreams, I'd like to have some cool lacquered chairs with shiny blue patent leather seats. But really, what's wrong with black?
Two other things I love about these chairs: Usually when you find a set of chairs they come with captain's (end) chairs, which I don't want, and these don't! Also, I love the slim profile of these. I could easily fit 3 on each side of my existing table (booo), and when I get my awesome long plank-style zinc top table, probably 4 on one side and 2 as extras (I want a long bench on one side). These are priced right. I could always change the seats to a blue down the road.
Hollywood Regency isn't typically a style I'm drawn to, but I love the drama of these. What do you think??
Oh this little bench is too cute.
I want this for my future yellow guest room.
Wait, or maybe these red spotted X benches! Yes, these. These are the ones.
Black bamboo chair with green Imperial Trellis seat? Don't mind if I do.
Do you love a great garden seat as much as I do? Do you also love elephants? I know, me too. Circa Who has a cajillion elephants ready for the taking, each one seemingly more wonderful than the one before it.
These hooded chairs that are all the rage right now (thanks Restoration Hardware) are really not my thing. BUT if they were, this one was sweet all leathery with her nailheaded goodness. Way less than RH and with a history to boot.
I wish I could have taken a picture of everything but I had a starving husband to come home to. I'll be back.
Oh man, we had such a fun weekend! One of my husband's clients owns/drives race cars and he was down from Daytona this weekend. He invited Baylor to check out the cars and he was in 2 year old heaven...
Until the racing started...
My sweet Peepie.
I have been to Circa Who years ago...i'm going back for sure. Check out Garden House - I think that 's the name (something with Garden in it) down the street 2 blocks east. They have some cool pieces and many items to get inspired by. Lastly, my favorite restaurant in the wpb area is Jade. It is across the street. Hey, let's make a day of it sometime.....
ReplyDeleteWOW, that store screams "LAUREN" all over it! You should get the white chairs. Those would go perfect in your house, and doing the seats...you can do! Just get a staple gun and your fabric...sooooooo easy! Yes, I personally would get the hooded chair. :) And the white mirrored cabinet WOULD go great.
ReplyDeleteI never commented to your family room post, very nice and I love the leaning wall mirror idea!!!
I will be going to Circa today (I have never been).... may have to grab those hot pink lamps :)
ReplyDeleteI also like the chairs...I think they will complement your living room (sitting room?) nicely. :-) Can't wait to see your guestroom and master bedroom! Did Baylor get scared of the loud racecars?
ReplyDeletecompliment...sorry
ReplyDeletesweet pajamas! lol. i love those black and white chairs.
