Did you see the new issue of High Gloss? Overall I thought it was a great issue.
Specifically, I'm C-C-C-CRAZY about this house below! Especially this white living room.
I need that bench in my LIFE.
This is the personal home of Interior Designer Mary McGee. She lives in Beverly Hills and her gorgeous abode overlooks a canyon where she is enveloped in trees. Lovely.
This bed makes me rethink my quest to add color to my all white bed...I love the simplicity of the one pink pillow.
I would LIVE outside if I had something this lovely to relax on.
I cannot wait to go check out the rest of Mary McGee's portfolio. Just beautiful.
A few more images I liked from this issue...Love love the mixed metals and the skirted bar table in this room from the cover story.
This couch, sweet pajamas...
All the different colors just really work in this room. The green lampshades make me feel happy.
This bedroom has made me rethink using 2 of the same bedside tables in our master. I really dig this mix...looks like the key here is keeping them the same height.
That little pink bolster pillow made the rounds in this photo shoot. Good thing it's really cute. Incredible mirror, right? I'll be honest here, I'm over the whole rainbow bookshelf thing from Design on a Dime circa mid-aughts.
So what did you think? What did you love? What did you think was just meh?
Don't you love it when your child repeats all the things you say back to you? Baylor's new thing: everytime I ask him to do something he announces he'll do it in "two minutes".
Love it all but especially the navy with the kelly green. I've never heard of the magazine - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteobsessed with white and gray! white and gray can do no wrong. and they have my chairs (well similar) and the rug i must have for my dining room. My room needs a frenchy mirror and a avant garde, modern black and white painting. very nice High Gloss, thanks for helping.
ReplyDeleteThat velvet couch...ooh la la. Wish list!
ReplyDeleteI think I need a horse head statue (which is a symbol for wealth and power)...Ok I needed it BEFORE I found that out. Oh how I would love a zebra rug, "but not a real zebra rug, that cruel."
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better. My lettace wrapped fish tacos...um yum!
So I had a GREAT morning! I found not one, not two, but THREE treasures at my usual haunts, and I was turned on to a fabulous new consignment shop where I made an instant new friend (lots more about her soon).
ReplyDeleteThen I come here and get a Barenaked Ladies reference in the comments. Oh Nikki, you do know me so well. *sniff* Happy Day Ladies!
