Mea Culpa

I'm a bad blogger.  Maybe I have the 8 month itch or something, I don't know.  I've felt a little burnt out.  Also I've been on a Crossfit kick and the planning and execution of said workouts takes every smidge of blogging time that I used to have (which was slim to begin with).  You don't want me to be healthy?  That's not very neighborly.

So I'm just checking in today with my thoughts.

The cabinets and island are painted slightly different shades of gray- Farrow & Ball's Downpipe (a warm gray) on the cabinets, and Benjamin Moore Chelsea Gray (cooler) on the island.  Is this earth shattering information?  Not really, but if I'd planned to paint everything gray, it wouldn't have crossed my mind to use different shades.  That gives such depth to the space, don't you think?  I'll never forget that little bit of cleverness.

I found this kitchen while searching for the other one.  I love when kitchens look like a room, does that make sense?  This one reminds me of the Windsor Smith one that I'm beyond obsessed with.

And you're all why?  And I'm all don't worry about it, it just does.

I realized recently that I really left y'all dangling since my last dining room post.  I've had my new table for months now and never posted about it because I thought everything else was going to happen really quickly but nothing has yet.  I keep changing my mind.

Are you interested in a complete break down of my issues/ideas for the dining room?  Coming up tomorrow.  SWEAR.

I ordered some custom lampshades for the lamps you can kind of see in this picture.  ('Custom' sounds a lot fancier and more expensive than what is really going on here.)

They are going to take 4-6 weeks to get here and every time they cross my mind I am imagining them on these lamps instead.

That is not normal and why I never get anything done around here, right?

Baylor is a champ about drinking super healthy smoothies at home, so one of his 'treats' when he is way awesome is to get one of the McDonald's all fruit smoothies.  So he loves them so much that every time he takes a sip he pulls the cup away and screams that it's "going away!" Adorable the first 20 sips.  Not as much the last 40.
