I warned promised you, so let's get to it. The dining room....it's there. Remember this? Not so much anymore. Still love everything about it, but it's just too girly and pretty for me. I had the zinc table in my head as being more industrial, but it's very shabby chic-ish.
Which isn't a bad thing! It just means that with the girly fancy chandeliers it's enough already. And am I crazy or does it look really small in these pictures? The table isn't small...but maybe it appears that way because their aren't any end chairs. We haven't talked about this.
Yeah, who noticed that little support bar there on the bottom in the catalog? Clearly not me. It took me about an hour to get over it. I'm crazy about this table, really. And my handyguy said that since this table is a brute, he could remove the bar eventually. Works for me.
So let's talk ideas. Here's an idea, toss the rug. This is why it's okay to buy cheap things sometimes. I really wanted a rug there because it was driving me insane not having one. Now I hate it! Paid next to nothing for it so I don't feel bad even a bit.
I got the idea to pile my chinese pottery in the middle from this dining room by Grant Gibson.
Which made me a little crazy over those green chairs! I could do green, right? On those three chairs that are currently blue....maybe paint the wood a deep charcoal. Here's another shot of this fabulous room.
Isn't that sweet that the designer included a kids booster chair? Love.
We'll save those ridiculous floors for another day.
Aaaand, the potty mouth is here. Literally. It's 'poo poo' this and 'doo doo' that. Fits of giggles. He's blaming it on a kid in his class at school. I told him that he could laugh when that boy said it if he wanted too, but he can't say it. Is that bad? Let that kid get in trouble for having a potty mouth, not my perfect sweet angel.
