What kind of art do you like? What grabs your attention and does not let go. Do you know? And if you do know what kind of art inspires you, what you're drawn to....do you know where to find it?
I want to be the kind of person who's all "yeah, I support local artists" but then I haven't put one toe out there to discover mine.
You know I'm a thrifter from way back, but trust me. There are frames to be had FOR SURE. Art? Not so much. At least not for me.
Art.com? Feels so cheap and tawdry.
I could make my own art. But a lot of people do that (cough bloggers cough) and declare themselves (or are declared) the next big thing (and some are good, real good)....but it has to be beautiful to you. And if it is, and if wowsers someone else actually appreciates it then go on with yourself honey. But I don't think it's in my future.
Etsy? There is probably beautiful art to be had there but mercy there is a lot to wade through and a lot is terrible. And again, we're back to the I have no eye for art conundrum.
Oh that beautiful couch...ADD.
I think I'm waiting for Baylor to whip me up some masterpieces.
So? What kind of artwork do you like in your home, and where do you find it?
Domino Mag via Studio 193, Decor Happy
Speaking of children's art....Baylor came home with some yesterday. I always try to be enthusiastic about scribbles.
"Oh, did you color that teepee?"
"No, Ashlyn did."
At least we're sharing.
