Fluffing the Front Porch, Fa La La La La Like

We just pulled down all our Christmas stuff that we put out every year and this is what happens on the front porch.  Well this is sad.  Let's get it out of the way, my porch needs a chemical peel to remove the ghosts of copper pots past and the HOA will not let me paint my front door.

Since we've decided to turn from our lives as shut-ins and actually have some company over during the holiday season, I decided the decor could use some zhush.

I don't make non-food stuff from scratch, so I picked up the plainest wreath I could find at HomeGoods and some extra gear to spruce it up a bit.

I started clipping the silvery leaf things and using craft glue to attach them throughout the wreath.  Then I remembered that I'm terrible at that kind of stuff.

Then I broke my scissors trying to cut the wire sparkle garland.

You know what happened next.  I bailed on the whole misadventure, tied a 13 year old ribbon (seriously, you can tell) around the wreath, sprayed the tree pots white and threw in some grocery store poinsettas and lanterns from my backyard.  That's why we have credit cards ladies.

Good talk.

This is not a DIY blog.  You hear?

Baylor was perusing a car magazine this morning and came across a scantily clad girl on the hood of a Chevy.

"Why does she not have her clothes on Mom Mom?  I think she's going swimming."
