We had such a great and relaxing trip...I'm so sorry I forgot to say goodbye, but you follow me on Facebook right? So you know my comings and goings, blogwise. :)
We spent the week in Rincon, Puerto Rico and it was fabulous. The purpose of our trip was to see our sweet friends Jenn and Nelson get married (they of the amazing, custom dining table) and we did it a little bit different than usual. My husband and I are total resort snobs, I admit it. If we are on vacation, we usually have no interest in undertaking even the slightest task for ourselves...we just want to be taken care of.
This time, since we were renting a car anyway (Rincon is about 2 1/2 hours and on the other coast from San Juan) and I really wanted a kitchen, we decided to go the VRBO route. The townhouse we chose wasn't on the beach, we selected it for the view!

Think the balcony is nice? Our personal rooftop terrace is just up that spiral staircase.
Wowzers!! Yes, we live in South Florida and go to the beach all the time. But I forgot how nice it is to actually SEE IT. It was awesome.
I've always wanted to retire somewhere random in the Carribean...but since having a child, assumed that dream was over. But I have news for you, it was BY FAR cheaper to fly there than it is to visit our families (like 1/3). In fact, if you're pretty much anywhere on the East coast....it costs next to nothing.
Dream: In Tact. So now I just need to keep my son and whomever he settles down with somewhere on the eastern seaboard.
Let's dream....
I hear Honduras is the hot spot right now...what do you hear?
3 years, 4 months, 14 days
This child cracked me up so much in Puerto Rico that I couldn't keep up. He remembered every place we went:
"Let's go back to Villa Cofresi!"
"Maybe we can go eat some mufongo?"
"This beach is so much sandier than our beach."
"I really had a good time with you in Rincon, but I want to get on the airplane now."
But my FAVORITE thing he said was when he caught me changing clothes.
"I love your fanny...I wanna munch that thing up."
I died.
