Traditional Home. But is that really a joke you can write down? Is the funny in the saying of it? It's actually not that funny, so I'll resist the urge to keep prattling on.
TradHome emailed me some images from showhouses they were apparently really excited to feature, all dolled up in red. Are you a fan?

This one is okay...I like that it's a more orangey red.

When I clicked through the email, I was all 'maybe I don't like red??' Could this be? If you asked me, "Lauren, do you like red? In interiors?" I would say YES! But...maybe I don't. Because as I sit here thinking about it, it's reminding me of all the red dining rooms of 1995.
And then I looked around my house. Not one small stitch of red. I mean there is a little rusty reddish tone in my new rug...but literally no more. Not in the art, not in the fabrics, bed linens...and not much in my closet.
So I looked to Pinterest. Here are the only images I've ever pinned with any red in them.
Umm, love.

I like the surprise of Jenny's red console.
I see some red in here, but I think I just pinned this for the tiger art. Though I love the rug.
This is okay. I liked the turquoise painted sticks.
I see a little red in the foreground of this, my favorite room in the history of ever.
Well, this is just a few red books and what appears to be a flapper dress. Does that even count?
Nice.
Okay, I'm on board. I've mentioned it before, but a different image of this same room was one of the very first I ever tore out of a magazine. LOVE pink and red...maybe in the guest room. But I can't be going too Miles Redd in there because. Ahem. I'm not him. He is fabulous, and I could quickly turn a room into a garage sale on acid if I tried to emulate his fabulousness.
The rug is actually the only thing I don't dig about this room. Although I did select it as my fantasy master bedroom, so there's that.
That's it. I think I just don't like red. Maybe it's just a phase? It's not overly popular right now...maybe I'm just a follower.
What about you?
A newspaper, right:) couldn't resist, really not that funny, you're right! I'm not a huge fan of red but you've helped me like it a whole lot better!!!
