Oh how I've searched for a bust. I wonder, are they supposed to have meaning? Does it matter the sex of the bust? Does a bust have a sex? I just like the look, really.
When I found this one yesterday at one of my favorite consignment stores, I was just a little disappointed that it was gold since I've been hoping to find white. The saleslady gave me a bit of a side eye and said "you can paint it."
Duh.
Already taped up for painting and see those flowers back there? My sweet brother John and my sister in law Layne sent those to me for Mother's Day! So sweet.
I chose a flat white spray paint from Rustoleum (the best spray paint, IMO).
So pretty, I just love the way it turned out. I'm pretty sure it's a little boy, but if he's like my little boy he really enjoys wearing my jewelry.
Baylor and I have been praying continually for his new baby cousins Henry and Harper. They were born yesterday in Memphis at only 33 weeks. Henry has a mass in his chest which has caused his lungs to be severely underdeveloped. He is really struggling right now and needs all of the prayers he can get. Baylor has been praying for "strong baby Henry and his breathing treatments". Harper is still a tiny little girl at only 2 lbs and is stable, but also needs all of our prayers. Please add them to your list!
I love it!!!! I just got a Caesar bust at an antique store. My very first purchase from an antique store. I also got about 5 different pewter plates to hang on the wall...aren't you proud!!!
