May I please preface this post by saying one more time how BADLY I need want a wide angle camera lens? I didn't realize how multi-functioning the lens I broke was. I love my new 50m but it is for photoing one thing, not a room. Okay, let's make do! Need a refresher on my dining room drama? Click here here and here.
I'm looking for a mirror for this wall right here, and I'm calling it dunzo.
The only dark wood in the space is this antique china cabinet that may or may not be staying. It was my great grandmother's (and hers too, I believe), so I will have it forever...just maybe not here. Regardless, I think the space needs wood, do you? I always say that wood grounds a space. (Too bad it's not on my floors yet. Grrr.)
Old picture for another reference. But the Christmas tree gave that away didn't it.
I saw this carved wood mirror yesterday and loved it. What do you think? It's huge, as it should be...the mirrors in front seemed shaky and I wasn't about to be responsible for that catastrophe, so I couldn't photo the whole thing. You get the idea?
Does it look too much like this silver one in my living room? Was this just an excuse to show off my new chaise again? Perhaps.
I originally intended on this mirror. But I don't know now?
And I always run across amazing mirrors like this, but I already have so much metal in the room (zinc table, gold chandys).
What type of mirror would you put in on that wall?
Just so you know, here is the wall on the other side...also empty.
But this fabulous Cozamia piece is being framed for it right now. Eeeee!!!
But is that herringbone print complimentary to the zig zag or overload? I have another print being framed for around the corner, I may switch them.
Here's an idea, why don't you just come decorate my house for me?
Him: "Where are you going tonight?"
Me: "We are going out with friends...we're going to have dinner and play a game."
............
Him: "Hockey?"
